I'm 41 today and still listening to That Devil Music.

Photobucket

That's right I was born the same year, arguably a month before heavy metal spawned thanks to the music of Black Sabbath. I honestly did not ever think that I'd be still listening to heavy music today. Nor listening to alot of the bands I do because I was such a fickle bastard 25 years ago.I figured by the time I was in my 40's I'd be listening to old folks music like jazz or big band exclusively. Or maybe following my Dad and going back to country. I'm glad I haven't though because metal is even more of a rich genre of music now then it has ever been. So let's see what happens by the time I'm 50. Hopefully the genre is still going as strong and I'm digging it then. In the meantime, here are two of my favorite bands that were either monsters on the rock scene the year of my birth or would become so in the next couple of years. Take it away lads.
