Septic Flesh Great Mass Artwork Makes Sculptures Cool.

I guess if you're Greek you're used to seeing sculptures all over the place. Americans have garden gnomes, the Greeks have statues. Actually I kid, I've never been to Greece but seeing the artwork for Septicflesh's new album 'The Great Mass' just made me think that it could be possible to be Greek and just tired of seeing statues all the time.
I'm actually stoked about this album provided it has the same quality as Communion did. Keep an eye out April 18th and 19th for the release of the new album and I'll provide more info as time goes on.

Septicflesh debuts new song on Facebook

Septicflesh is debuting the song 'The Great Mass' off the forthcoming album 'The Vampire of Nazareth' through Season of Mist's Facebook page. This is odd because of late most bands are debuting singles through other websites or myspace. But yes this song is brutal and heavy with some tribal drumbeats.I like it and am looking forward to the release of the new album. So head over to Season of Mist's Facebook page and see for yourself.

Septicflesh Releases Album Title and Release Dates

I wish we'd just get the pertinent information all at once on new album news but then again I suppose it would kill the anticipation otherwise. So last year I spoke of a new Septicflesh single being relased. You can read that here. Since then it's reported today that the album will be entitled 'The Great Mass'. Pretty bleh album title if you ask me but I see them going for the stick to the Catholics angle. I mean the last album was called 'Communion' for heaven's sake(C wut I did thur?). Release dates are April 18th in Europe and April 19th in the U.S. This is how it's done, labels. Release them on continents a day apart not 4 months apart, right Sodom?
Expect this album to be even more epic in scope as it will have a 130 piece orchestra including haprischords and ethnic instruments along with a boys choir. I hope this doesn't turn into a clusterfuck of Therion proportions but based off the released single it's going to be pretty kick ass.

New Septicflesh Single Was Released While I Slept Apparently.

Some quick notes about Septicflesh. While it is a disgusting name if you're into medical terms, this Greek band has gradually with every released morphed themselves into an awesome atmospheric death metal band.I only a few weeks ago was introduced to their music by Tr00 Nate over at TNOTB and the last album from 2008 'Communion' is a phenomenal album of epic death proportions.
So fast forward to today while talking with Quigs also from TNOTB he asked me if I'd heard the new single. No as a matter of fact when was it released and why did I not know about this? Apparently last Friday while I was wrapping up training for work. So thanks Quigs for the belated heads up and I now present the first single from the as of yet untitled new album due in April 2011 'The Vampire from Nazareth'. If this song is any indication of the rest of the album this has year end potential written all over it.
