Motley Poison Crue Tour Dates Are Up

So yeah the confirmed dates are out now. Just a little bit more of petty drama, I guess Bret Michaels is claiming it's a co headlining thing and Nikki Sixx is saying Poison is support on this tour. Nice to see 40 something year olds still haven't grown up and are as egotistical as they were 25 years ago. Nevermind the fact neither have had anywhere close to the success they had back then. Alright enough of this. Here are the tour dates after the jump.

It's 1987 All Over Again. Motley Crue and Poison To Tour Together. Sometimes.

So on the Piers Morgan(who?) show on CNN Bret Michaels came on and announced a tour of two of the greatest 80's butt rock bands. This is pretty funny for a number of reasons. Weren't these two going through a battle of words about not touring together? Not to mention that with Bret Michaels and Mick Mars basically being medical miracles that they're even alive how many of these shows are going to actual happen due to poor health. Then the tour dates being announced. Sort of. I see alot of part time touring with Bret Michaels going off solo in between dates with just Poison much less Motley Crue too.

I don't know. I saw these guys during their heyday in 1987(hence the title of this article)and Poison was fun but dudes were not the demographic for them. Motley Crue was not very good with the only highlight being Tommy Lee's aerial spinning drum kit. Most of the band was drunk and not playing very good. So 25 years later I can't see this getting any better. But hey, if you dig these bands still and enjoy the same tunes that have been played to death since the 80's then keep an eye out on March 18th for the Glam -e- gedon tour(herp derp)dates and ticket prices.

Want to See A Rare 1981 Performance Clip of Motley Crue Then Bid on Ebay for Rare Items? Of Course You Do.

An Ebay power seller by the name of Eliteworks is doing something cool to promote his vintage memorablia items being auctioned off on Ebay. If you're anywhere near my age and fancy going back in time with promo kits, backstage passes and posters from the 80's you might want to check this out. In order to peak interest he's farming out rare video clips of some of the biggest bands out there to get people to come to his auctions. Case in point is this 1981 clip of Motley Crue covering the Beatles 'Papaerback Writer' on their second ever live show in support of Y&T. Apparently this song was dropped from the set right after in favor of 'Jailhouse Rock' that people will remember from their live show later.

Go to Elitework's auctions to see what kind of stuff he has. I can tell you there is alot of Crue and Kiss stuff but there is also items from Queen,Tesla, and Alice Cooper among others. So get your bandannas out and start last second snipering people for items you never in a million years would have acquired 30 years ago.

Top 5 Metal Love Songs.. A Woman's Perspective

So yah, I know Draeden said that the previous post was as romantic as we get here but he didn't take into account there's a girl writing here too. Being as it is Valentine's Day, I figured I'd throw out a quick top 5 of my favorite hard rock/metal love songs to keep in the festive mood.

#5 Nazareth - Love Hurts
How many of us didn't sit there at some point in our lives and sing with all our hearts "I'm young, I know, but even so" Yah, it's not romantic, but I don't believe I said I was going to be romantic with all my selections, just that they would be about love.

More after the jump

#4 Nine Inch Nails - The Only Time
"I'm drunk, but right now I'm so in love with you" Nuff Said. There was never a video made for this one, so I leave you with the live version. NSFW

#3 Bon Jovi - Bad Medicine
So much better than one of their later love songs which mentions something about french kissing the morning, which I still don't know how exactly you do. "Ain't no paramedic gonna save this heart attack" now that's some lyrics.

#2 Def Leppard - Hysteria
Had to go with the more love song off this album. Love Bites is also an excellent song but with similar themes to Love Hurts which I've already mentioned in this list. So rather than go that direction again. Does he really mean what I think he means when he says "Out of me, into you?" Maybe I need to get my head out of the gutter. Wait.. Did he just say "Open wide, drink in me"?? Okay maybe that is what he meant.

#1 Motley Crue - Without You
Gotta love the power ballad. "But with you in my life, you're the reason I'm alive". *insert wistful sigh here* Now mind you, this album also had the awesome love song "Don't go away mad, just go away". It was a bit of a toss up which one to include here.

So there's my quick top 5. I'll probably hit the post button and come up with a million more songs I could've used. I'll save them for later. Just 364 more days til Valentines.

Want to see Vince Neil fall on his ass ice skating? Of course you do.

I posted a Then and Now the other day showing Vince in his FABULOUS! ice skating outfit for Skating with the D-listers. Well here is video evidence of what's been happening with Vince Neil on the show so far.Because reaally, anybody who actively watches the show is not going to come to this site.

I keep waiting to hear if he falls does booze erupt from his liver like a geyser but that's just ridiculous. All I know is that any rock cred old Vince ever had is quickly eroding with every episode of this crap he's on.

And I was hoping to see a tatooed baby. Oh well.

Maybe now we can stop equating her to being metal in all of the reader polls...hmmm?
